But the main reason I am writing this is because of my dear little kitty Sprinkles. I recently took her to the vet because she was having a hard time breathing.....long story short she has an enlarged heart and she is only four years old. I love her to bits and she loves me back, so what do you do when the vet gives you the "your cat is going to die" look. Despite all this she is OK. She is on medication and we had the fluid around her heart taken off and still she is OK. She is actually very healthy despite the death sentence. Which makes me question soooooooo many things.
Against all odds she has made it to four without any issues and no one suspected she had or was developing this condition. Oh and I haven't said yet, but we rescued her and her sister from the side of the road as kittens! She is a miracle. And after losing my mom she filled my hurt like nothing else could. She taught me to laugh again. So I am loving her and she is loving me till the end....whenever that may be. But when the vet looks at your cat and can't explain how she is still living and happy and healthy with a heart that is too big for her little body... always trust your cat first.
